Ivar nasceu em Aveiro, Portugal, em 1971. As dificuldades económicas levaram-no a exercer vários trabalhos ao longo da vida e a viver em diferentes países. Atualmente vive em Inglaterra. Desde jovem que sempre quis ser realizador e produtor de cinema, e é bacharel em Tecnologia da Comunicação Audiovisual pelo Instituto Politécnico do Porto (1995). Dedica-se a vários hobbies, entre os quais fotografar aviões, procurar aliens, escrever e fazer filmes. É autor de três livros publicados em Portugal e de vários curtas-metragens, incluindo A Cela Branca (Prémio Famafest 2006). Viu na inteligência artificial a oportunidade de concretizar o seu sonho e tornou-se AI Filmmaker em 2025, quando realizou o filme The Clown with Red Hair, que foi selecionado para vários festivais de cinema.

Ivar was born in Aveiro, Portugal, in 1971. Economic difficulties led him to take on various jobs throughout his life and to live in different countries. He currently lives in England. From a young age he always wanted to be a film director and producer, and he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication Technology from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (1995). He pursues several hobbies, including photographing aircraft, searching for aliens, writing, and making films. He is the author of three books published in Portugal and of several short films, including A Cela Branca (Famafest Award, 2006). He saw in AI the opportunity to fulfil his dream and became an AI Filmmaker in 2025, when he made the film The Clown with Red Hair, which has been selected for various film festivals.
